community guidelines

veisund is a small room of people who have been through something and are willing to say so. these are the few rules that keep it usable. they are the same in the app and on the web.

everything here is public.

there are no private messages between members. every post and reply is visible to everyone — that's the point. someone reading it later gets the same help you got. on the web, a thread that has an answer can also appear in search results; an unanswered question does not.

so, two asks:

  • · don't ask anyone to DM, PM, or text you.
  • · don't share contact info — phone, email, socials, or other apps.

a web post containing a link, an email address or a phone number is refused before it goes up.

what you post about

  • · share what worked for you, not instructions for someone else. peer support, not medical advice.
  • · never tell anyone to start, stop or change a medication. that conversation belongs with a prescriber.
  • · you post under a random handle. don't name other people, and don't out yourself by accident.
  • · you can delete your own question at any time. the page goes with it.

if you're in danger

this is not an emergency service and nobody is on shift. call or text 988, text HOME to 741741, or call 911. more crisis resources. if a post contains language that suggests immediate risk, an automated safety reply surfaces these resources straight away — that one is a machine, deliberately.

reporting

in the app, any member can flag a post or reply. a flagged post comes off the public web the same minute and waits for review; it is restored or removed by a person. on the web, every thread has a “report this thread” link that emails hello@veisund.com with the post id. there is one reviewer, so reviews happen as they can, not on a schedule.
