Calmerry is online therapy with licensed counselors: text messaging, 30-minute video sessions, or both, billed monthly and quoted per week. it doesn't take insurance. veisund isn't therapy; it's a free app where you post what's going on under a handle and people who've been through it reply. here's what Calmerry publishes about itself, and how to tell which fits.

Calmerry's pricing page lists four plans, billed monthly and quoted per week, with a first-month discount: Messaging at $49.50 (then $57.00), 4 Live Videos at $54.50 (then $62.50), Messaging + 2 Live Videos at $66.00 (then $77.50), and Messaging + 4 Live Videos at $73.75 (then $90.00). video sessions are 30 minutes and can be chained. messaging plans say a licensed counselor responds 5 days a week. Calmerry doesn't work with insurance directly but provides receipts, and says it offers financial aid of up to 30% off for 3 months. it has no free therapy plan, but its mood tracker, guided journaling and resource library are open without a subscription. checked on 2026-09-29 against each company's own site.
if you want a licensed counselor, matched to you and licensed in your state, Calmerry provides that and veisund doesn't. its FAQ lists psychologists, LMFTs, LCSWs and LPCs with master's or doctoral degrees. if you want someone trained to work through a specific problem with you over weeks, that's therapy, and it's the right call. Calmerry's text plans also give you a single professional who answers, on a stated schedule, which a peer community can't promise.
veisund costs nothing and doesn't pretend to be therapy. you post under a handle, with no real name and no phone number, and members who've lived something similar reply when they read it. there's no schedule and nobody is assigned to you; the community is still small, so replies can take a while. when a reply helps, you can mark the post resolved and credit it. the web library has plain-language study summaries with evidence grades, and a lookup of drug-company payments to your own doctor from federal Open Payments data.
Calmerry's free tools (mood tracker, journaling, resource library) and veisund can sit side by side while you decide whether paid therapy is worth it. if cost is the thing stopping you, a sliding-scale therapist or community mental health center may come in under Calmerry's weekly rate. if you're in crisis, neither is the tool: call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741.
Calmerry's pricing page lists $49.50 to $73.75 a week for the first month, then $57.00 to $90.00 a week, depending on whether you choose messaging, video sessions or both. Plans are billed monthly.
No. Calmerry says it does not work with insurance companies directly, but you can request a receipt for partial or full reimbursement from your insurer.
No free therapy plan. Calmerry says its mood tracker, guided journaling and resource library are free without a subscription. veisund is entirely free, but it is peer support, not therapy.
Calmerry says a typical video session lasts 30 minutes, and sessions can be chained back to back for a longer session.
