Hello. Just typing into the void! New here. I tend to isolate myself often. Trying to work on reaching out more. I'm disabled and live alone.

Glad you reached out! What are some of your favorite activities or things to do?

Hi red hawk. Hope you are well. I like to be creative when I can. I used to paint, draw, write poems and make tie dye. What do you like to do?

Neat! I’m a big fan of active sports. Skiing exercising swimming and doing yard work outside! Splitting wood stuff like that. Are you able to do those things? And what do you mean by self isolate often?

  • the person who asked

Unfortunately, I deal with chronic pain and now I'm using a walker. Sometimes I don't get out of my house. Stay active. Losing mobility is not easy. Keep flying Red Hawk.

Yes. What occupies your mind? What are the thoughts that go through your head most of the days?

Hey OP, how have you been these last few days?

  • the person who asked

I've been going to doctors to get some relief. Got shots in my knees and it does help for a few days/ maybe a week. I also tried getting on a weight loss drug but it got denied by my insurance. I put in an appeal because I found out I need hip surgery which I'm not a candidate for due to my current weight. Sometimes I'm stuck between a rock and rock cause' this world's a hard place. How are things with you?

Sure is. Glad to hear from you. Do you have a support system? Ppl you care about and can depend on? Things are good here. I sort of feel like I’m a plate spinner with a bunch up in the air a thread away from crashing down. Probably isn’t the case but I feel like that.

Sounds like you're keeping busy. Glad things are good. I'm not too sure about a support system. I'm separated and my partner does help me out but I can't expect help every day. I have the feeling that my family doesn't understand what I'm going through. I walk with a walker and my sister invited me over to sit by the fire pit. I would go if I could. Getting out would be great. Idk. My communication skills aren't the greatest..lol.

Thanks for sharing that. What do you mean by doesn’t understand what you are going through? What’s your perspective on it and what do you wish they’d know or understand?

  • the person who asked

I dont know what I mean anymore.

It’s ok. I won’t judge or try to change you. I’m Just curious about what you are seeing, thinking and feeling. I find sharing those hard to share things is the fastest way to overcoming them. I apologize if my questions felt otherwise
