Since I was little, my parents wouldn't let me go outside because I used to get sick very often, however, this was only true during my first years of life.
I wouldn't go to school very often and most of the times I did go I would show up in the middle of the day because earlier in the morning it was so cold "I could get sick", nedless to say the other kids thought I was a freak or something
It went on and even today I'm still feeling this way.

Ok my bad. Let’s chat. Does it feel like your parents are overbearing?
the person who asked·
No problem, I really appreciate your help.
Yes, mostly my dad.

Hum. Does that overbearing nature make it harder for you to go out and do things? Like do you feel like frozen or the stakes are really high?
the person who asked·
Yes, I feel watched by them, always thinking about what they'll say

I can understand how that would make it hard to try new things.

Is there something specific you want to do that you feel you are afraid to or something is holding you back?

Maybe getting friends, a girlfriend and being more extrovert

Ok. Cool. How could you start to break out of your shell more? Ever tried Meetup.com? Or dating apps?
the person who asked·
Not really, even though I'm almost 19, I still feeling like a kid in almost every aspect.

I knew a girl in elementary school she would always show up late and I often wondered about how her home life was. I liked her though.. she would often be reading a book. I asked her for a book suggestion once and it became one of my favorite books. When I read your post I thought of her.. and thinking about her makes me feel bittersweet bc she was sweet even if she was in chaos. My point in saying all this is that your parents determined a large

(Continued) portion of your life for you and unfortunately didn’t consider much how it would shape you socially and self-image wise. Well you could not change that, and it doesn’t define you no matter how much of your life U spent there. Just yesterday I was upset thinking about the way my mom treated me growin up. is I bet you’re still brilliant even despite these circumstances you were burdened with.

But I don’t know if you’re going to see these replies.. I will listen further if you wish to expound upon how you still feel this way.. you just can’t take responsibility for something you couldn’t change but it can really shape you. You’re not a freak just because you are embarrassed and ashamed from your past, you were a kid you didn’t have much say. they say it was for being sick if that was only in your first years of life.. did they

Still keep you out of school for longer than needed?
the person who asked·

If you're still there and you are ok with it, I would love yo talk to you
