I just realized that my school team is not going to be useful and I am the only one willing to work, this course is almost half of the credits this semester and this team is the only one I will work with, I am so scared and worried, any advice?

Group work is tough. And getting people who don't want to work to do things can be a challenge. Do you feel like you are leading the group or taking charge? What makes you think they don't want to do anything?

Yes, we had to pick a leader and the choose me, now I know why, we alredy did some homeworks and they didn't even care, I had to do almost everything, we are a group of 6, myself included, but only one of them kinda helped me Also, some of my friends habe alredy worked with them and say that they nevers work and only take advantage of others

Ah. That's no fun. Do you have a chance at the end of the project to rate their performance? Sometimes that helps the teacher realize who's doing the most work. Glad you have one person who can help! My advice would be to be realistic about what people will or will not do and use that scope the project. Don't bite off too much if you know no one else will do it and you end up doing it all yourself.

That's the thing, I don't get to decide what we are going to do, we have to develop an alredy stablished project with stablished activities and deliveries.

Hum. That can make spreading the work out a challenge. Any way to play to people's strengrhs? Like if you know somebody isn't going to read and write, can you get them to handle creating graphics, images or speaking parts?

Yes, I think it might be possible, but again, as far as my frienda have told me, my team doesn't really know hoe to do much and they're only here because they always took advantage of their old teams and no one ever said anything

That's a bummer. Seriously thougj, I know this may not make sense right now but you doing your best and working through this, regardless of the grade or outcome is going to be much more worthwhile in the long term. These skills you are building are what separate those who succeed from those who bump along. After all, isn't that the real reason for school? Lol
- the person who asked·
Yeah, that's a very good point and I have tought about it, but I can't afford to get a low grade, and honestly, I don't think they'll bump along the way because if that were the case, the would alredy have

I see what your saying but that's not your problem. Your problem is figuring out how to get the best grade with the team you have. It's not going to be fair, but you cannot change that. Focus on what you can do about it
- the person who asked·
You're right, any advice on what I could do?
- someone who replied, again·
Figure out what people would be willing to do. Ask them what grade people would be satisfied with and why. If everyone aims low, paint a picture of what a good grade could do for them. Get mom off their back, whatever. Understand if you might be able to turn 1 or 2 of them into a bit more of a contributor and work with what you can get. Don't assume what someone can or cannot do. Help Bring it out of them and let them be the driver of it
