HeyPeers is a directory of live online support groups: small video meetings, each led by a certified or organization-trained peer supporter, plus chatrooms and paid one-on-one sessions. most groups are free. veisund has no meetings and no leaders. you write a post under a handle, and other members reply when they read it. if what you need is a room full of faces at 7pm on a Tuesday, HeyPeers is the better fit, and this page will say so.

HeyPeers-certified meetings are paid and run by verified certified peer specialists. independent peer specialists offer one-on-one sessions and their own topic meetings, which you pay them for. HeyPeers says every group and chatroom is led by a Certified Peer Supporter or an organization-trained peer supporter, and that it is not therapy. you can join a meeting without showing your full name. on the group listing page the day we checked, most meetings were free and the paid ones were $4.99, $5.00 and $6.99. one-on-one prices are set by each supporter. one profile we read listed $25 an hour. checked on 2026-09-29 against the company's own pages. prices and terms change, so the links are in the sources for this page.
HeyPeers' terms allow users from 13. anyone aged 13 to 17 agrees they are participating with a parent's consent and must list a parent as their emergency contact. conversations are confidential, with one exception: if there is a concern about the teen's safety, HeyPeers may tell the parent. if you are a teenager thinking about signing up, it is worth knowing that before you join.
choose HeyPeers if you want to see and hear people, if you want a group that meets on a schedule and the same faces week after week, or if you want a trained, certified peer supporter running the room. its peer-supporter directory also covers narrow experiences a small app can't, such as rare diseases, misophonia, hearing voices and caregiving. and if you want to talk one-on-one with a peer specialist whose lived experience matches yours, HeyPeers lets you search for one by experience. veisund has none of that. HeyPeers also takes teenagers with a parent's consent. veisund is 18 and over only.
veisund suits the hours between meetings, and people who don't want to be on camera. you post under a handle, whenever you like, and members who've been through something similar reply when they read it. that's not instant, because the community is still small. when a reply helps, you can mark the post resolved and credit the reply. the other half of veisund is the evidence library: studies summarized in plain language, each with its source and an evidence grade, and a lookup of drug-company payments to your own doctor from federal Open Payments data. it's all free, with no paid meetings and no paid tier. it isn't therapy or a crisis line.
