stress & emotional wellbeing

I have no power over any aspect of my life right now, which leads me to feel hopeless and at that point life just feels pointless. I can’t control anything, and even if I try it doesn’t make a difference because this situation is out of my control. My dad randomly up and left me and my family this year I haven’t seen him in two months he has made it clear he doesn’t care about me anymore when we used to have the closest bond.

Ouch. Sounds like that would be super hard to feel blindsided like that. I can imagine it calls into question many of the decisions you’ve made and thoughts you’ve had about yourself and life. 2 months isn’t a long time ago so I understand wanting it to be over and also it’s ok that you haven’t sorted it out yet. This is a big change that will take a while to sort out.

Do you feel you have accepted this as something that’s occurred or does it still feel unclear or somewhat in denial? Acceptance not meaning you are giving him a pass but the fact that it occurred, do you accept it as what’s occurred or is something obfuscated or withheld?
