purpose & emotional clarity

Can anyone give me a list of reasons to keep going? A lot of things keep going wrong for me and this isn’t your average day to day mishaps, it’s always something so large and life altering. I need reasons to keep pushing forward I need all the encouragement I can get. Thank you in advance. All the love.

Do you feel you have given the maximum gift you have to offer? Said differently, in your soul/heart, have you exhausted everything you have to give the world as your authentic expression of your deepest self, your capabilities, and unique gifts?

I’m open to hearing a yes or a no answer. Not trying to back you into a corner but trying to ask what your heart says, not your mind. I’m not doubting you. If you were to answer yes I’d want to know more about how you got there. If you say no, that’s a different story.

I feel like I haven’t even reached my fullest potential yet. That’s such a good way to think about it, I’ve never thought of it that way. I think when I’m in the middle of a very difficult situation my mind just thinks “this is all life is, a series of hardship and difficult events” i’m quite the pessimist, I’ve been burned a lot so I always just expect life so be hard, in which it has been.

How do we get through such hardship when it feels like it’s eating away at us? When it feels like we are nothing other than our problems? It’s almost as if I identify as them.

That’s really insightful. Many people do identify as their problems and it’s good you know that. Do you accept that you are experiencing those problems in your life? I’m not saying do you accept that it’s just or ok or you are cool with the problems, not at all, I’m asking do you accept that the problems exist and you experience them?

I think that I mainly try to ignore them because they hurt so badly. Which I know isn’t healthy. I think I try to keep busy and distract myself so that I don’t have to feel the misery to its full capacity. It’s hard to accept that they exist for sure, most mornings I wake up I sit in comfort for a bit, until I’m quickly reminded of all I have going on. The feelings of it all are so overwhelming

That’s ok. That’s a human response and nothing to be ashamed of. Something you might want to consider is writing out your problems into buckets. Maybe you have 3 or 4 main issues and a bunch of stuff stemming from them or some core issue. Then once you have them written out. Just sit there, look at the sheet, close your eyes or go for a walk and accept that those problems exist, that they are real and try to actively accept them as existing.

Be aware of when you want to push the problem away and imagine just letting it be and accepting that it is a part of your life. See where that brings you.
