I’m tired of everything. I don’t know if this is a mood swing anymore. But the thought of taking my own life is more and more appealing. I can’t control the thoughts when they come up at this point. I suppose I’m sick in the head. I’m tired. And I’m my worst enemy.

Thank you for reaching out, I am glad you are doing it. What you are experiencing right now is tough to deal with, especially on one's own. It may sound obvious, but I have to ask: would it be possible for you to get professional help?

My parents don’t believe in therapy even though I desperately need it. They think my issues are made up because I want attention.

You do deserve support. I'm sorry your parents are not hearing you out yet. Could you reach out to a school counselor or someone like that? Also, feel free to keep messaging here. I'm happy to listen to you and will do my best to be avaible.

Hum. That’s a hurtful thing for parents to say. I’ve been suicidal before. It’s not fun. You are not necessarily sick I’m the head. In fact nearly 20% of teenagers consider suicide. It’s a response the mind puts forth as a solution to internal pain. What could some of that pain be for you?
- the person who asked·
I suppose that pain and anger comes from within myself. I never learned how to properly express my emotions since I was always told to stay silent and always have a smile. Now I just suffer with crippling mood swings. One moment I’ll be happy and High as a kite feeling invincible, and the next I come crashing down and spiral into a dark depression where I begin to consider suicide.

Interesting. That’s not so uncommon. I have had a l of difficulty expressing my emotions too. If you were to express them, what would you say and to who?

The only way I can manifest my feelings would just be yelling. About anything. I don’t even know what I want to scream about. I just want my pain to end. I don’t want to have mood swings again. I don’t want to continue to be on a high and then come crashing down and have everything shatter. It’s even affecting my relationship. I need help.

I hear you. What are you angry about? What would cause you to want to yell and scream?
- the person who asked·
My emotions cause this anger I suppose. I wish I didn’t feel like this and I wish I was never like this.
- someone who replied, again·
What’s wrong with being angry? Maybe you have a really good reason to be angry. What if that anger is actually a useful tool that can teach you about yourself and life?

Perhaps, I want to speak to my mom about therapy but I’m terrified about the idea of bringing that up to her and getting shot down.
- someone who replied, again·
Yeah. That would be scary. I don’t like rejection either. Is there someone else who you might be able to talk to who can talk to her? You don’t have to do it
- someone who replied, again·
Also. Gonna go to bed now. Talk tomorrow
- the person who asked·
Alright, thank you for the advice.

I’m gonna ask my school counselor to maybe ask my mother.
