Ok. What are some of the things that bring about your feelings of anxiety?

I’m afraid I’m a burden to eveyone, I’m not good enough, and I freak out over little things then I feel really bad about it, it’s hard to contain calmness, I just first experienced a panic attack and it tore me apart so bad, I made quick decisions and didn’t think before, I feel so lost

OK, I can understand how you would feel lost. You’re very self-aware. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but when people are getting used to their level of self-awareness, sometimes they have a tendency to focus on the negatives. Especially if the people around them focus on the negatives.

What about you feels like a burden to everyone...or are you saying you feel like you are a burden to yourself too and you don’t know how to prevent yourself from getting in the way?

I feel like I bother everyone too much, I’m just so scared to be alone with my anxiety so it’s hard to get learn how to manage it on my own, I also feel like a burden to myself too, I can’t stop thinking negatively about myself, I definitely am self aware but mostly on the negatives it’s just so hard for me to feel good about myself, especially after the bad two weeks I just had, and it was all caused by my anxiety

Hum. Are you working with a therapist on some of those negative thoughts?

I don’t think you are a bother to everyone. I think you just need some skill building. Some more tools in your tool kit to have more control over your thoughts and your reactions to them

I am going to start seeing a therapist and I have talked to some one a few times, I have told my family about it too, it’s something very hard to shake but I know I need to learn to control it, but I’m afraid I let it get to far and hurt myself

Yeah. That’s a realistic fear but you are making all the steps in the right direction! Starting therapy, telling family, you are doing the right things and you will get better with the right support system.
