You are not going mad. Break ups are hard, it’s messy there are no answers the worst part about breakups as you won’t get clarity. They’re often enclosure. You kinda have to reform your new path forward based on what happened in your own interpretation of it, we have this idea that you should reconcile with your previous people, sometimes that’s not feasible because it just gets you more enmeshed in old issues

So what should I do ?

Allow yourself to feel how you feel don’t try and change it. Accept that you are feeling pain. And know that it won’t be forever, but you need to feel it now so feel it. Be sad. Be angry. Write about it. Do artwork about it. Make music. Dance. Whatever. And let it move through you and let go if it and the scenario and the other person and the shortcomings and judgements. And recognize that you are worth of love and you’ll keep looking and this

    Experience makes you stronger

By stronger do you mean next time it won’t hurt as much?

No, it might hurt more. As you grow typically your capacity for love grows with it, which means your capacity for pain also grows accordingly. It’s a sign of healthy development. You just get better at coping as you get older at least many of us do not eveeryone. Pain is a necessary part of a relationship. Like all things, sacrifice is necessary to feel joy. you’re experiencing that now, but you will be better off because of it.

When I went through my biggest breakup, I made it a mission to distract myself with things I really loved doing. Things that forced me to get out of my head. For me, that was going to museums (I’m an art museum nerd) and concerts, going running, taking classes etc. lots of time with people that made me laugh. Or even just people that made me not think about myself.

I tend to take rejection really hard. It would take me months to get over things even if I didn’t date soemone that long! But I DID get over it. It’s so hard when it’s fresh! I see you.
