stress & emotional wellbeing

I’m a mother of an almost eight year old. My circumstances don’t really allow me to get out of the house and I don’t have any friends and every conversation feels so surface-level. I’m full of grief because my mom judges me based on what she thinks my life should look like to her and she makes me feel like I’m behind or my life is meaningless and I have no responsibilities. Her words stick with me and have put this filter over my everyday life…..

Well she shouldn't be treating you that way regardless, everyone as a way of how they want life to be. You're a mother now and should be able to decide what is best for your child. If her way was perfect you wouldn't be feeling the way you are now. Don't let her bring you down because someone else does it to her. Find help outside your family there are resources. Worth it in the long run for you and your child. Break the generational cycle

Yeah that’s a terrible way to treat you. Is she generally dissatisfied? Like does she do this with everyone or singles out you?
