purpose & emotional clarity

i just hate my mom, i broke the family laptop (i gave some money to my mom so we could buy it dw), i was guilty ofc and felt sad and took responsibility for it, yet the only thing my mother knew was to belittle me for making the most common mistake, to spill water on it. she used one single mistake to define me as a person, instead of an accident that could've been improved, and she has been belittling since i was a child btw, am i dramatic?

Doesn’t sound like it, I know money is tight for a lot of people right now, maybe she’s reacting to another expense and maybe taking it out on you? Sometimes as a parent, you really want your point to come across and unfortunately, you attack the person because that’s the only way you know how, because that’s how you were treated as a kid. That sound similar?
