stress & emotional wellbeing

I’ve just been feeling really depressed and I’m trying to find different ways to cope and find healthier ways of communicating too close friends or family. I feel triggered about past traumas and it’s hard too just finally let go and move forward

Found this app on Reddit and thought I would give it a try....

Yes. It is very hard. I respect you for even opening up about it and having the courage to address it. That takes a lot. Do you feel like anyone else is really ready or willing to go there in terms of addressing or even entertaining that work you seem to be pushing or advocating for?

Sometimes I have friends that like to do the same stuff but I can always say no if I need too. It's just hard getting triggered by random stuff and not being able to find a healthier way to blow off steam when it happens instead of bottling it up and pouring it into a cup later 🥵

Can let out some of that steam here if you'd like. Anything specific that you'd like to share or unpack?

First step, find compassion and love for yourself. What you're doing is hard. To move forward, it can take healing those past trauma wounds, going through the difficult emotions when we'd rather just jump over that part. Be patient and get familiar with your body - whenever it detects 'threat', your biology will kick in to protect you using habits from the past. It just doesn't realize it doesn't have to work so hard!
