Hey! I’m here. What’s going on?
- the person who asked·
I don't feel ok, but I don't know what I'm feeling
- someone who replied, again·
Ok. You don’t have to know exactly. What’s going on in your life that’s causing you some of these feelings? School/work/parents/friends? Anything in particular?

I have the chance to get an internship, but I don't know if I'm ready or if I really want to
- someone who replied, again·
An internship? Congrats! Sometimes those can be big stepping stones in a career and hard to come by these days. What’s your hesitation?
- the person who asked·
I feel like I'm too young to start, I wanted to have more time as a student
- someone who replied, again·
OK,Will you go back to school after the internship is over? Do you feel like this is a one time opportunity or do you feel like it will be easy for you to get this opportunity later?
- the person who asked·
Maybe not easy, but not impossible, the thing is, I would do the internship at the same time I study, also, it would last one full year and I don't know if I can make it
- someone who replied, again·
Totally valid thought. Just curious. What concerns you about juggling both?
- the person who asked·
But I mean, I would get an internship related to a side of my degree that I don't like and, honestly, I really want to be a cowboy
- the person who asked·
I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up, maybe I at some point the internship and my classes will be at the same time
- someone who replied, again·
Ah. That is a hard decision. Experience is never a bad thing. Often times taking an internship and early jobs are more about finding out what you don’t want to do and develop your skills.
- someone who replied, again·
What does your heart say?
- the person who asked·
I don't know, I'm very confused, I know is a huge opportunity that most people would love to have, but I'm not really convinced about doing it
- someone who replied, again·
I usually think of this situation like this, you can always say no later if you say yes now. But if you say no now you won’t likely have the opportunity to say yes later
- the person who asked·
That's the thing, they want me to sign a contract, I don't know if that means i woulnd't be able to quit
- someone who replied, again·
Well, not really. Most all contracts have clauses to allow them to fire you or for you to leave. Typically called ‘at will’ employment. Look under the Termination clause. Will they pay you? Also, ever considered having someone from your schools (student) legal services review the contract?
- the person who asked·
I'm thinking ahead, my interview is tomorrow and is possible that they don't want me, but if I were able to resign, well, I think i would take it, yes, they are offering to pay me and no, I don't need my school services to review the contract, my dad is a lawyer and I could ask him
- someone who replied, again·
Great! It’s much better to have the ability to say yes or no than just the option of no. So give it your all!
- someone who replied, again·
Good luck 🍀
- the person who asked·
Thank you
- someone who replied·
Okay thanks
- someone who replied·
