You cannot change other people. You have to make peace with what you’ve done. Ask for forgiveness, and move on. You cannot make someone else forgive you, you have to accept the responsibility for what you’ve done. If it means it’s over it’s over. That may feel scary and hard, and it’s part of life. Loss grief , it happens and we learn and grow from it.

Yeah pardon my lateness but I didn't catch did you try talking to him to see or does he refuse to speak to you? Of course no need to answer but it seemed Important to differentiate. Which is another thing that pulzes me about how you put here it says your fault so I have to try and assume it's infidelity but probably why you didn't write it that way was because you saw it differently? Am I somewhere in the ballpark here? Something like he says

Cheated likewise you probably said you were on a break or needed space so you don't feel like it was wrong? At which point I'd say it depends alot on other factors too for instance married or just dating kids or not but then I get stuck on the the rest staring you'd do anything for him so did he lose trust on his own or your blame was out of your control too and it was an accident. Then with a guess of cheating that would tie in to the end where

You say you're afraid he'll move on if so putting yourself in his shoes would you wait around while he explored other options and kept you as a backup? Which clicks together with I want another chance SOME DAY??,? I'm so sorry? I'm not throwing shade at you just in my personal experience that's exactly how this sounds. And just hope it gives you insight on his point of view and perhaps that's just what you needed to sit and talk about it calmly

Either way best of luck to you like orange said there you can't change others but if you get you apology in and still isn't accepted then there's your answer and it's a learning experience. Or if you're just wanting to get it out here to relief some of the pain or guilt that's not a bad thing either it's always nice to be heard and if it was me and I meant those words nothing would stop or slow me down from doing whatever it takes to make it up

To them from how it sounds he's a good guy and youre fear is losing what you know is a good thing and regret is never fun with the fear of him moving on I'd say you think he could do better but the only way that could come true is if you passed up your opportunity to make it right and show you both as well as the world it was not about who you are but a lesson that if you hadn't learned it for yourself then the true love and happiness

That was a product afterwards never could've been fully realized otherwise and that helps everywhere in life so sorry for rambling on and wish you good luck!!! Both of you cause everyone deserves to be happy and loved thoroughly just sometimes if not learned prior the lesson have to be learned in practice and I see that's where alot of relationships get steered off course so if I can help just one with what I've learned it'll ripple out and save
